brady and two favorite friends--spencer on the left and austin on the right
i tried to convince brady this afternoon that the halloween fairy was a good thing. "what?" say you? "the halloween fairy? i've never heard of such." let me explain...
a friend mentioned that the halloween fairy was going to visit her house on halloween, after bedtime to take any unwanted candy (after a few favorites had been claimed and saved) and in exchange for said candy, she'd leave a TOY. so knowing that the halloween fairy had not had even 1 free moment for 3 days straight (not to mention she just found about the johnston family), she improvised with the option of leaving 10! whole! dollars! for each child (we still don't have any cavities. since i am the one who takes them to the dentist, i'd like to keep it that way). i thought to myself "SCORE!!" when brady agreed that the halloween fairy sounded cool and ten! whole! dollars! sounded even cooler. then he said "i don't think i'm ready for that. it sounds hard. maybe i'll try it when i get to first grade or second grade or third grade."
darn smart kid.
