that's a link to the intestinal parasite we've had lately. for me, two solid weeks, for brady, only about 5 days, mikey is on day 5 (although back at work), and hunter--no symptoms although she tested positive for having it.



to say that it sucks is an understatment. i'm prone to exagerration (kinda--haha) but this "friend" really messed us up. i feel 100% sure mike would agree with me on the extent of how bad this was. no mere stomach flu, my friends. this parasite plays hard ball.



speaking of ball...it's football time! there's really only one game (okay, two games) that i care about--clemson vs. fsu. some claim that i'm not a REAL clemson fan since i didn't go to school there. while i agree that gives one some credibility, it isn't the only criteria in determining loyalty. i have been a clemson tiger fan since 1977--that's 30 years!!



so last night was THE game--first one of the season and it's clemson-fsu. and it ROCKED. for the 3rd consecutive year, clemson beat fsu. I LOVE IT. love, love, love. check out hrj's most recent picture. isn't orange a good color for her??

we start kindergarten tomorrow. really, BRADY starts kindergarten tomorrow. picture to the right is a school picture from a couple of years ago. i've spent the last hour looking through old pictures of brady michael monkey.

brady's story:

we went to stride rite on sunday to get his foot measured. ONLY. no shoes. last pair of stride rite's that he owned he cut a hole in them. on the 2nd day. they were $55. mommy and daddy were not happy. but, we go to stride rite to get his foot measured. while we're are there he finds a pair of orange and gray running shoes with bouncy balls in the heels. he really wants them. as i'm saying "no buddy" he says to me:

"but they'd be my kindergarten shoes".

yeah, so immediately, i start to tear up and cry and guess what. he gets the shoes.

hunter's story:

on the way to jeffy's house last night (jeff and karina's mom watched the kids AND gave us a dinner gift card so we could go out for our 8th(!!!) anniversary), hunter tells jeff this--" my mommy always says: "DAMN IT, where are my sunglasses? DAMN IT, where are my keys?" i almost had to pull the car over bc i was laughing so hard. mike just looked at me.
